Weather Underground Forecast for Monday, October 13, 2008.

A weak trough of low pressure off Honshu is expected to trigger a few showers over southern Honshu on Monday. Otherwise, the rest of Japan can expect mostly dry and mild weather.

High pressure will dominate across much of China, the Korea Peninsula and Taiwan, providing tranquil weather. The only exception will be far southern China, where scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely due to a stationary front hovering in the vicinity.

In the Tropics, no tropical formation is expected Monday. Scattered afternoon thunderstorms are possible.

In Australia, a cold front will continue to push eastward through southeastern Australia Monday. Expect rain showers to continue and winds will become gusty at times after the front pushes through. In addition, moist onshore flow may trigger some showers and thunderstorms across the east coast. High pressure in the Great Australian Bight will build over the central part of the continent, keeping the region warm and dry.
